Yep, i’m there. December aint lookin too hot, i’m on the border.
Chin up Nuppal. You still got five days. Best of luck.
I hope you sit the exam. No matter how your preparation is going, you may pass, and also sitting the exam is good experience (in the event you fail it will be good experience for next time). Best of luck !
Nuppal I feel the same way. A lot can be accomplished in 5 days. Let’s do it.
Oh, I am for sure sitting. I just feel like this is the perfect storm as far as L1 goes. Influx of jobless talent on the market, lots of people deciding they need to become more marketable… A lot of said people are much smarter than me. @SJZ, yea, lets do this thing. Head down, foot to the floor.
Same here, I was considering withdrawing but I think I’ll bite the bullet and fail with pride…
It doesnt matter how many smart people take the exam. All that matters is you beat the minimum passng score as set by the cfa institute based on thier assessment of how difficult the exam was…
nuppal, I was thinking the same thing “jobless talent, smarter ppl, etc” for the June exam and the pass rates came out to be 45%… We just need to drill right on till the last day, and try our best. I feel like im in the same boat as you, studied 200+ hours and think i am on the border.
i want to take level II in June… but if i don’t pass LEVEL I this time, I’m going to NAIL this exam in JUNE!!!

My strategy. Either way I know that I WILL be taking LII in June 2011. If I pass LI in Dec 09 I am doing GMAT afterwards. Maybe I should switch that though. If I passLI in dec I take LII in June…
gmat is a joke, 1 month is plenty to prepare for it

but you get a whole new set of books… and possibly have to cough up for new provider materials as well… since the material changes maybe 10% per year…
Think how much are we learning by reading such core material. Knowledge counts first. Passing or failing is secondary. Till the ball is in our court (5 more days), let’s do our best and then leave the rest on CFAI. It’s never productive to think about results and study. Keep going guys…no breaks…last few hours.

There is minor to no change this year in the curriculum for Level 1.
