Professional references

"Three professional references are required unless you have a reference from a regular member of the society to which you are applying. In that case, two professional references are required. Supervisor references are preferred."

So, I have provided one supervisor reference and one regular member of the local society reference but when i click “save and continue” it still shows my application for this step as “in progress”. Any suggestions? Shall i still go ahead and add a third reference?

All you need is two reference, not one more or less.

I am facing the same issue. How do I get past the References step and submit since it does not allow me to submit the application. Could you guide me.

I think you have to Save and Continue inside the reference sub-section, to make it marked complete.

when you add your references did you click on the ‘send email’ link next to each reference?

Also some (all?) societies require a regular member at the society to sponsor you, and if you don’t know any locals i think that’s when you require 2 CFA charterholders to sponsor plus your supervisor

I am having the same issue, as I have submitted two references, one is a CFA. It still has in progress, and I can’t submit it. How do we get it changed?

Sorted it, to clarify for others. Once your reference submits their reference and have said yes to CFA membership, you can progress with 2.
