Hi, I’m new to this forum and new candidate for L1 program. WOuld like to find out about page 41’, where it talks about Propietary trading. Is this “Firm’s own trading”? What is a market-making activity and/or markey-maker firm? thanks.
When a firm trades stocks, bonds using their own money as opposed to client’s money … its propriety trading Market-maker is a firm that “bid – ask” in the market, hoping to grab the profit-making-opportunity provided by the bid-ask spread. - Dinesh S
