Go read Standard VII (B) for the answer to your question.
How about simply, “passed Level I of the CFA exam in December 2010, and working to earn my charter”? I think most CFAs realize that getting high marks on Level I doesn’t mean all that much.
It’s okay as long as it’s factually correct. You just can’t link those results to any form of superiority. ^ yes that is correct. You can indeed put on your resume: “passed L1 first attempt, all sections >70%” A fact is a fact. You just can’t hint it helps you provide better returns or anything like that. Now, the dbag imagine it projects… that’s a whole different argument…
