I just got a voicemail asking for an interview for a BB in a top 10 PWM group working with ultra HNW clients. Simple question: How much do these groups typcially pay analysts?
I am gonna shoot at 55-60k
GS pays PWM analyst 85K base heard from reliable source

hey topher, what’s BB? anyways, i would say roughly 55-60k. A new analyst started at our firm at 55k (new graduate). We don’t do PWM, but consulting for large institutional clients (DB --mainly public plans-- and DC). I think that range is comparable w/ PWM.

It just means the large IBanks or what is left of them. DB-Defined Benefit DC-Defined Contribution? Do you work in investment advisory?
in Hong Kong PWM @ GS pays 75-80K base and smaller shops pay in the range of 50-65. Keep in mind , the tax bracket in HK is alot lower then the tri-state area. around 15% annual.
@ US Trust/BAC it comes in at 70k on the high side of the range for their low level analyst.

I started as an actuary for 2 years (so doing DB pension work), then moved to the investment world (now doing investment consulting for mainly DB & DC clients and some foundations/endowments)

Impressive guy and one of my analysts
What would be a generic job description for a PWM analyst?
