Q-bank for L2

Hi, I just passed the L1 and found the Q-Bank very helpful. before I shell out the $$ for the L2 version, could people who used it and just wrote tell me how usefull they found it? Thanks!

qbank is absofkinglutely uselss in lvl 2

Qbank, as you said, for L1 was great. I used it and loved it for L1. I did not find it helpful at all for L2. Very very few of the questions were delivered in a the vignette format. I wouldn’t waste your $$$ on it.

Thanks!

Seems the consensus is that it’s not too useful for actual exam practice i.e. in the 2-3 weeks leading up to the exam, but what about using to stop you from forgetting things that you read a few months ago? I had Qbank for level 1 but didn’t actually use it till 4 weeks before the actual exam. Looking back now I wish I had used it every now and then earlier in the year as I thought it was quite good for reminding me about things I had read and forgotten 4 months earlier. I agree that the format makes it not so good for actual exam but I’m considering getting it for ‘pre-revision’.

I used Q-bank & mock for level 1 passed one try and used Q-bank, mock & schweser tests, passed this june one try. I did 1/3 of all the questions in Qbank. I guess some strategy works for some people doesn’t works for others. Try to find what suit you better.

I agree with bluesman. Don’t rely on it as your source for exam style practice problems. But it is a great way to test concepts on certain topics. Quant, Econ, and to some extent Derivatives and Fixed Income aren’t covered exhaustively in the Schweser mocks. So the Qbank is quite handy for reviewing those topics. But whether that justifies the financial investment is a different topic. If money is not a consideration or it is available to you at lower cost I would def get it.

Useless. Did some ethics and alternatives and thats about it. Good for one-off questions on the exam.

In my opinion, Qbank is basically useless for L2 if you want to practice exam like scenario. But I found it to be a good and convinient tool for testing if I understood some basic concepts. I ended up doing 1200-1400 of the qbank questions for L2. Don’t get me wront, I also did all EOC questions, most of them, multiple times. So EOC is the main practice material for L2. I just think qbank was a convinient way for me to test some basic stuff, that’s all.

I certainly wouldn’t pay full price for it, and I will admit it’s not as useful as it was in LEvel I. However, people are forgetting the primary purpose of the Qbank, which is essentially a drilling exercise. It’s not supposed be like a mock exam, although there are several vignettes in it. I’d stick to the intermediate to advanced questions, and using it, say, after you’ve done the EOC. It’s always nice to get questions from different angles.
