I checked out the mock (haven’t attempted it yet) and I realized there’s no section for quantitative methods. I’m trying to find some test questions to get an idea of what they will ask on the day of. There’s so much to know and most likely only 6 questions on the topic. Any thoughts on what to focus on?
if u r talking about 2011 mock, there is 1 set on Quant…
Focus on understanding what the output from a regression model implies. Based on all of the practice exams I’ve taken, cfa mock and 6 schweser’s, the emphasis is on recognizing the three primary violations of the regression assumptions: 1. Heteroskedasticity 2. Serial Correlation 3. Multi-collinearity If you know what causes those, how to spot them, and how to correct for them, I think that would be half the battle right there.
Ya I got those three concepts down pat! Anything else I should focus on?
I consistently see variables transformed, so know how to take a logged variable and delog it, and vice versa. Understand basics of time series, why autocorrelation lags are important, and what a mean reverting level for covariance stationary series is. Know how to read an Anova table and how to do a basic t-test and confidence interval.
