That article basically says that Mussolini bribed the pope to recognize his fascist regime. Also, I always wondered what the Pope does with all the money. They probably have secret funding to insert anti-abortion messages in TV or something.

The Pope releases money into the system when people are being too boring for God and withdraws money from the system when people are being too sinful. Basically, the idea is to take away the communion cup just as the mass is getting started.
