Question about test centers

Hi guys,

Since I am taking my Level 1 exam for the first time, I have a quick question regarding accommodation in Amsterdam (i.e., RAI). The area where we can store our personal belongings, is it secured (e.g., lockers)? I will be traveling from a different city so I will have to bring my phone with me and I don’t have a car. I know the policy whereby CFA Institute does not take responsibility for lost/stolen items, but is this something common or that you have heard about? Thanks a lot!

I’ve taken the L1 and L2 exam the past 1-2 years at the RAI in Amsterdam and can confirm that the personal belongings area is not secured (as in it has no lockers whatsoever). People put their bags on the ground and hang their coats openly. I suggest taking no valuable items with you.

Don’t take any valuables. Just put your notes and lunch in the bag.
