Question about Topic Tests on CFAI Website

Hey guys I am about to start doing practice questions and I have a question about the topic tests on CFAI website. Does CFAI website topic tests only provide multiple choices questions except for the 2 mock exams? Does that mean the only way I could find more practice essays questions is to go back to the old mock exams? Or is there anywhere else on the website that I could find more practice essays questions? I just want to make sure that I did not miss anything on the CFAI website.

I believe CFA website has three year’s AM papers. Earlier years’ ones can be found in google. Some people downloaded 10 years AM papers already. For the Mock, I have not checked yet but I thought those are multiple choices. Same as the previous years mocks. So technically, if you really want to practice the whole exams. You can have 10 years AM papers and 10 year mocks plus the Kaplan 6 exams you have and Question Bank/Topics Test/CFA EOC.

I also heard that CFA ECC is not great practice since the answers and questions are not example format and many times they provide too much information. Not sure about this but at least this is what the Kaplan Video instructor mentioned.

Thank you so much for your reply! Wont the 10 years mock too outdated? Can you tell me where I could find the 3 year’s AM papers on CFA website? What is CFA ECC?

I didn’t check the website yet. The recent three years should be somewhere on the site though. Based on what I heard, some of the topic tests are pulled from previous mock as well and it is always recommended to do the Topic Based, AM papers, Mocks, EOC/BB multiple times if we have time. Speed is king in the morning session. The more we see, the better even some are little old but those are real exam papers.

It is a typo. EOC (end of chapter). I think some think the blue box questions are more useful in the CFA books. But if you really want practice, it does not hurt to do both EOC and blue box a couple of times. Then, the chance of passing will be high since you use every question you can practice.

I am still trying to figure out the striates so this is just my personal thought:) Good luck to us all!
