question from a level 2 candidate

hi guys,

i am a level 2 candidate.

today i solved some questions in level 2 and all of sudden, i started to wonder how many questions people passed level2 solved.

How many did you guys do?

I think all questions in CFA Institute candidate materials would not be enough because types and points of questions in the actual exam will not be same as.

I mean, as all you guys know, level2 exam has very abroad range of study scope that candidates have to cover, ( i heard from my teacher that level2 is even more in amount of topics than level3) so it is more likely to forget a topic when i fill missing knoweldge in somewhere else.

I have solved candidate materials twice but still i got wrong anwsers quite a lot.

I only used CFAI material for level 2 and it worked for me.

Between, Blue box, EOC questions and online mocks, there are enough questions to prepare in my opinion.

If you still got wrong answers when you test yourself on the same material, it is the sign that you do not know the material well enough yet.

You should put more time trying to understand your wrong answers rather an than trying to find new questions.

Good luck

Also, theres nothing better than curriculum questions. Plus there are additional questions online for each topic - they are a must do.

What you might be missing in your preparation is to thoroughly understand the concepts. This is the foundation to pass the exam. Once you are comfortable with the concepts, practicing questions is another aspect of the exam. You should not compromise the first in a rush to cover as many questions as you can.

I did not have much luxury of time when I took level 2. I only covered Schweser material and couple of mocks in the last two weeks and sailed through comfortably in my first attempt.
