in ethic , about soft dollar arrangement, it mentioned about “client-directed brokerage”, what dose that mean? dose it mean client of the management firm is a broker? and the management firm also have trade business with that client? Thanks.
i think it means that the client directed the business to a certain broker, hence limiting the management of soft dollars by the PM. -not entirely sure.
