I have been practicing on some of the previous years L3 essay exams. Is there material on previous yrs that won’t be on our 2020 L3 exams? For example, question 1 on the 2017 essay deals with collateral returns and question 3 asks about cash flow and money weighted returns. I don’t recall these being in this year’s L3 material(might be wrong?). Or could they throw in any material or formulas from previous exams? I recall this info on 1 or 2 but not in the 3 material. Look for IFT question relevance sheet… then you’ll know what is “sort of” relevant from prior year questions.

Welcome. Please note also that that relevance sheet should be the 2020 version, because older versions can also be easily found and which are outdated.
I have similar thoughts. I am using only 2016, 2017 and 2018 AM exams, and many questions do not seem adequate compared to current LOS.
They are useful to essay question practice, but results after grading are likely less important.
