Quick Excel Question

Could someone please let me know how to copy a horiztonal row and paste the data into a vertical row. I tried Excel Help and nothing relevant came up. Thanks

Copy the figures in the verticle row -> then select the colum you’d like the data entered in -> then “paste special” -> “transpose.”

Copy the entire row select the first cell in the column you wat to paste it into Edit->Paste Special (check the transpose box)

copy and turn your monitor 90 degrees. Click Paste.

alt e s then e for all you home gamers…

But what do you do if excel doesn’t turn the data in the manner in which you desire?

call ghostbusters!

you can also use transpose function directly, the syntax is =transpose(A1:D1) then you select a range for your transpose, press F2 and Ctrl+Shift+Enter

Call an intern to do the grunt work… Or write a macro  BTW, I’ve been working with excel for a while now and the real speed comes with keyboard shortcuts.
