There’s something about that story that’s not right.
First, why is the victim asking her potential rapist if he has a condom?
Second, why is she in the closet with him? (Assuming he didn’t physically force her in there.)
These two things are particularly puzzling. Not saying that it was or wasn’t a “legitimate rape” (thank you, Mr. Akin), and I’m certainly not excusing the ridiculous questions by the judge, but I do think there’s more to the story than meets the eye here.
