Just finished Reading 48 today, and it got me thinking about how everyone is planning on attacking those sections of the GIPS which stipulate this or that needs to be done AFTER January 1, 2010. When I last sat for L3 in June 2009, these items were not requirements yet, but now that it is beyond January 2010, I’m wondering how CFAI will test this. It doesn’t make sense to test material that won’t be the requirement going forward (i.e. ask us how something was done pre-2010) but then again a lot about how CFAI tests doesn’t always make a lot of sense. Just curious to know others’ thoughts on this…
