Did no study today will do no study tomorrow. need a break after a 14 hour weekend. Then 10 free days to nail this down. Am averaging 70% in Book 6 so am quite pleased. SS 1-9 is fairly ok but am weak on Equities & Derivatives especially. Got 2 CFA samples, the mock and 6 Schweser exams left to do one each day. Also plan to go through the 43 EOCs at 5 chapters a day. Then study up on weaknesses in Schweser, phillip platt and personal notes. also ethics reading for minimum of half an hour a day. Any opinions on my strategy? anything else you suggest i cover?
Doing 43 EOCs at five chapters a day is going to be tough if you also want to do all of those mock exams. Some of those EOCs are quite involved and can bog you down. I’ve been working on them the past two weeks and have yet to finish PM, Alts and FI. The CorpFin EOCs were an unpleasant surprise in terms of length and depth, especially the corporate governance section which reminded me of tricky ethics questions. And I’m a bit unnerved by the questions so far in PM - seems like CFAI and Schweser decided to focus on different topics for the first couple of readings (in particular real exchange rate calcs and all of the CML/CAL/SML graphs). But I’m going to press on and finish all of the EOCs, as I’m convinced that they will be most representative of the actual exam questions. As someone else here wrote recently, if you can understand all of the EOCs, then “you will see the light”. Good enough for me…
Amen the the quote " You’ll see the light"
