Recommend Secret Sauce for Level II?

I thought Schweser Secret Sauce was terrific for Level I. Is it just as good/vital/simmilar for Level II? I want to see if I can get some feedback from anyone who’s taken a look at it before I shell the $120+ thanks

I glanced through the Secret Sauce and it looks like there could be a few SS missing. Aside from that it looks reasonable to me, considering this is a 200 pages condensed version of the five volumes of condensed study notes. The exam advices towards the end are probably worth a read as it’s different from L1.

can you please throw some light on how good was Secret Sauce for L-1. I am a L-1 candidate for June 2009 and I am contemplating whether to go for it. Can you pls highlight how it proved useful to you and what I stand to lose if I dont go for it? Thanks,

I used it for level 2 last year and will be using it for level 3 this year. Very nice when it is crunch time and you have a few minutes at lunch to whip it out.

mpoonan, can you please explain in a couple of points how good it is and what exactly do they tell you when they talk about ‘tips’, ‘strategy’ etc-- is it just another way of alluring people into purchasing it?

The strength of Secret Sauce is that you can carry all the essential materials that you *must* know with you, pretty much 24/7. So you can read through bits of it when you are waiting for things (transportation, significant others, boss, washroom, restaurant, etc). It’s essentially a way for you to sink fragmented time into studying CFA materials. The exam strategies at the end talks about things like, how the choices in each question are typically generated, how to prepare for surprises on D-Day, how not to fall into things that previous candidates fell into before. It’s worth a read but I won’t justify this as the sole reason to buying the Secret Sauce. In my case, I plan to stick with the Secret Sauce from May 1st to D-Day. YMMV.

hmmm, i kinda want to call that number for some strange reason. haha. man all this talk about secret sauce, I didn’t even use it at level 1 but all this hype has me thinking about it now.

Don’t bother. Photocopy all the end of reading summaries from Schweser and CFAI, staple them together, and BAM! Instant Secret Sauce.

haha was trying to figure out why that # seemed familiar, good old schweser… broke down and ordered the physical copy… probably should have just stapled the end of reading summaries like gator suggested
