Similar to the supplements topic, what’s your favorite post-workout drink (or food if that’s the case)? I go with chocolate milk, with the occasional protein shake on heavy lifting days.
I use Endurox R4, which is popular among runners. It’s mostly sugar.
I’m a big fan of Amplied Wheybolic Extreme 60 from GNC. I know the name sounds sketchy, but it’s 60 grams of protein per serving and is full of Aminos Acids. The Cookies & Cream flavor is delicious.

Damn, that kicks the crap out of my 28g with MM. This is my next buy.
60g is too much, i usually take 1 scoop of ISOPURE (Vanilla) that is about 25g
I usually take about 2.5 scoops of muscle milk. totals out around 60g
wow, thats crazy. I eat enough meat and fish to get the protein, so my 23g EAS Whey is fine (got it at Costco for a low price). But 60g…nuts. Will look into it though, thx.
“Amplified Wheybolic Extreme 60” D@mn. I’m not sure what’s wrong with me today. Having a lot of trouble typing for some reason. Yeah, it’s really good stuff. AM, you should definitely give it a try.

General rule is that if you are trying to bulk up, you should consume 1.5 grams of protein daily per pound of body weight. Obviously, this is a crazy amount, and I don’t think I’ve ever approached it. I am pretty built though. To each his own really.
1 scoop Protein Powder (25g) 1 scoop dextrose 1 scoop peanut butter Ice Water Blend

Are you sure you didn’t mean per kg? I’ve read a little about this on here: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/fit44.htm Seems that 260+ grams of protein per day is too excessive, and anywhere up to 2g / kg should suffice *for bodybuilders*.
KG <> LBS. Divide by 2.2. That is an insane and potentially unhealthy amount of protein. Unless you are The Situation.

Haha I had read 1.5 g / pound a few places, but I agree that is way to much. My goal (which I still don’t hit) is 1.0 to 1.0.

cfagoal2 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > plain old whole milk, a few big swigs straight > from the carton Thats a lot of heavy cream in your mouth. Don’t know if I can handle that mouthful of thick creamy milk. What happens if your swig is too big, do you spit someout or swallow it all down like a champ? Gotta get that protien.
You gotta swallow it. Every last droplet. I put a belt behind my head and keep the seal tight.
