Reference for a colleague

I and my colleague both cleared Final level togather this year , Can I be a reference for him and he then can be a reference for me.

Why don’t you just find 2 other candidates and you guys can all be circular references?

Can you imparitally provide a reference for someone that is giving you a reference at the same time? I’m not sure if there is a “answer” to this question, but I’d probably just avoid it myself. Why not find someone else. There must be more than 1 person in the world that can attest to your work.

It doesn’t look great. I wouldn’t. But I’m not sure there is a “rule” that prevents you from doing so.
