When you want to use information from the WSJ lets say on a study being done by the CFA institute, what do you need to reference on your report?

IF the information is fact then you dont have to reference.

Actually, best practice according the guidelines requires that you verify the primary source yourself. The danger with 3rd party sourcing is that they can incorrectly report, or distort through paraphrasing.

right, but do you reference both WSJ and CFA , or just WSJ if you’re using the news article?
