Resume + Elan + Technical analysis

hey guys, couple of questions: 1) I want to update my resume - I’m currently registered for level 1 exam in december but still havent had chance to look at ethical standards. What would be the expression way that would least likely violate the ethical standards of the CFA? CFA level 1 candidate CFA level 1 (december 2010) candidate 2) For those who bought elan practice questions, can you print them out? or you can only use them online? 3) I have a problem remembering the terms “bullish” and “bearish” - can’t remember which one indicates to buy and which one indicates to sell - any hints on how to remember them? thanks

Hey Omar. Both of the following are correct: CFA Level I candidate CFA Level I candidate (December 2010) Elan’s practice questions can be printed Bullish means that you expect the market to rise, which suggests that you should buy. BUllish = BUy… first two letters of bullish and buy are the same.

Thanks a lot - i like the BU idea … would never forget that  Thanks a lot Omar

bUy has a U in it. U = Up

Bullish means bull. Bull means bull fighting. To watch a bullfighting match you need to BUY a ticket. Bearish means Bear. The Bears play football in Chicago. When at the game people will SELL hot dogs. It’s that easy.

Try watching CNBC and Maria Bartiromo for 3 hrs. You will never forget.

LOOOOOOOOL - that was actually funny

Just remember that when a BULL attacks - it attacks with its horns UPWARD, hence the term Bullish Bear - Attacks with it’s claws and teeth DOWNWARD, hence Bearish. http://www.allposters.com/gallery.asp?startat=/getposter.asp&APNum=320272&CID=9E785B1937B1432E9684D8EEBEBC45AC&PPID=1&search=wall%20street&f=c&FindID=12308&P=1&PP=5&sortby=PD&cname=Wall+Street&SearchID= Just like with options: Consider a phone Call : Call UP - hence, you want the underlying to RISE Put : Put DOWN - Underlying to FALL

call nd put has never been problem to me - 4 years in uni listening to them all the time so it was fine  bull nd bear were new but i like analogy
