I need to send a resume out today. I was lucky enough to pass Level II, but cannot register for Level III until tomorrow. What do you all think? Can I say that I am a CFA Candidate who passed Level II?
Yes, ofcourse you can. Something like… - Passed Level I and II of Level 2 CFA Exams
Thoughts on using the word “candidate” without being registered? Any reservations there?
yeh probably, so just leave that out. dont say level III candidate, as you’re not registered. but can always say - Passed Level I and II at first attempt - Passed Level I ( 2010), Level 2 (2011) etc… basically anything that is ‘true’ without exaggerating claims of what CFA stands for.
You cannot use the word ‘candidate’.
^agree with this guy, all you can do is write that you passed the level 1 and level 2 CFA exams. but you can’t write candidate if you’re not registered for an exam.
Personally I think that if you plan to register for Level III tomorrow then it is reasonable to use the word “candidate”. Technically its a violation but considering that by the time the resume is used (ie. sometime after today) you will be a candidate, I think its reasonable.
Thanks for the help everyone.
