I would like to know others’ thoughts on whether generally it is inproper to talk to your manager about bonus and salary expectation’s before they are released? I guess I’m wondering if it is being too forward? I just want them to know what my expectations are so there are no surprises. ***meant to post this to General Discussion, Sorry…******
Not at all, try to get a feeler on “guidance” for bonus
the actual figures are decided and pushed through HR a fair few months before so you have probably left it too late… you should discuss these issues at least by the 3Qtr for something additional to happen

If its performance related (hedge fund or trading), they’re probably being discussed as we speak.
