So it seems that this year they have made the sample exams difficult than previous years as I have not seen anyone scoring greater than 70. Most of the scores are in late 50s or early 60s. Does it an indication that final exam would be tough too? What’s up CFAI?

I also thought the sample exams were pretty tough Sample 1 63% Sample 2 63% These are the lowest scores I have made for any of the samples or mocks in all 3 levels.
These samples are pretty hit or miss with the item sets and only 30 questions. You can either get lucky and know them or be unlucky and not know anything. I took sample 1 yesterday and got a 70, but i was lucky to get some stuff i studied recently. I could see myself easily getting a 50 on sample 2 if the right questions were to pop up. Plenty of time left to fix that tho down the home stretch.

I got a 70, but I agree with you, other material and I could have been in the 50’s as well.
Just took sample 1 and scored 66%. I have not done Ethics yet so lost 2 questions on that. My one of the weakest sections is Currency Risk and got 2/6 in that. Made 2 stupid mistakes - Calculated Dollar Duration wrong and Standard deviation of local currency incorrect. FML
Sample 1 - 70%. Totally failed Asset allocation and Currency Risk cases (3/6). I will take Sample 2 in a week or so. But anyway i think we shouldn’t pay much attention to whether it is 60% or 80%. AM part is a key. But by now i can’t score more than 55% on Schweser and CFAI exams.
Anyone know if there is a way to re-take these samples? I took them a while ago and got killed in the 56-65% range…

Got 66% too. It was a tough exam with 2 item sets on Risk and Currency. Totally killed me. Also need to learn formulas asap (this weekend). Got few questions incorrect because of that. CFAboston28 - I also got duration calculation wrong. Good part is MPS is low as hardly anyone scored more than 70%. haha
