San Antonio adopts gay rights measure

TLDR version - SA joins nearly 180 cities to have nondiscrimination ordinances that prohibit bias based on sexual orientation or gender dentity. The ordinance applies to mst city contracts and contractors, and prohibits council members from discriminating in their official capacity. It also forbids workers in public accomodation jobs (restaurants, hotels) from refusing to serve customers based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

Greenman’s .02 - I’ve been a vocal proponent of gay rights, but I’m not so sure about “transgender rights”. While I think transgenders deserve the right to be treated fairly, I can see this spiraling downward into a lot of future problems, similar to the 5 year-old in California who was a boy, but identified as a girl, so “it” got to use the girl’s restroom.

Yes, you have a right to cut your own weenie off, but I don’t have to like it. And I’m not so sure that I’m under any real obligation to accomodate it, either.

Why don’t you keep your opinions to yourself.

You go around and blabber on every thread. Then you create another pointless thread, then another, then another. Now you want to incite hatred towards transgender people, give it a rest.

This seems like a weird comment coming from you storm. You’re pretty vocal.

The next fight is gender neutrality. There is a growing group that don’t want to be labelled male or female and want a 3rd gender created. No joke. It’s gaining steam in Europe.
