Schedule

Hope everyone had a good long weekend. As I start to schedule time for everything on my plate, with a somewhat uncertain and busy workload the next few months, curious whether you guys hit the gym in the morning and study after work or vice versa?

Can’t believe it’s already December!

I hit the gym during lunch and hit the books…never. At least not since June 2013.

Praise the Lord and Pass the CFA!

Gym during the evening, but I cut my trainings by 20% 3 months before the exam. You can always catch up after the exam.

I usually hit the gym 3-4 times a week…during CFA season it goes down to 1-2 times…and the month before…0 times unfortunately…like a p*ssy.

It’s OK to reduce it for time purposes but to cut it down to 0 can have major drawbacks. Exercise is good for the body and brain.

I’d love to study a bit in the morning before work, work a standard 9-5/6, gym, study again at night, but given how crappy my work schedule is already (& am told it’ll continue to be unpredictable and maybe even hit the 12-14 hr days consecutively into Q1 next yr), makes me think I’m gonna have to suck it up and just wake up at 5:30 to get it out of the way…I’d use profanity here to describe how much I hate everything including my job at this point, but too tired to think/describe…

I work out with weights in the evenings, but sometimes switch cardio to the mornings when studying for the CFA. When I study for the test, I wake up very early to study before work as I’m well rested and alert. And sometimes I need a study break, so I go do cardio.

^Define “very early”? I already mentioned having to wake up at 5:30 if I hit gym before work and study whenenver the boss thinks it’s OK not to meet a stupid fake deadline or realistically won’t and thus I can go home and attend to other stuff…like family & studying, but waking up before 5:30 is cray cray, atleast for me…

I agree…i still do my 30-50 pushups every morning before showering though…does that count?

^yah dude, vertical pushups in the shower with a dime latina dancer certainly counts. Most would be out by 10 reps so you are exceeding the norm,

It’s better than nothing.
