I have a question for those who have used them. How good are they?

i use the Schweser videos but the ethics material is abit too brief for me. actually i had to read the entire CFAI study material on ethics to finally get a grasp on the standards and gain confidence in answering questions… my advice; go through the videos, attempt some QBank ethics questions and if you have challenges, refer to the CFAI material.its not as bulky as i thought, you can actually get the ethics readings done in one weekend if you make time… all the best…

I studied Ethics only from the cfa book and did all the questions at the end of their reading. Schweser ethics are really too brief and i wouldn’t recommend you watching them even if you are pressed for time.

I did not watch that. I just did the QBank and got 50%

Just read Ethics from the curriculum two times and do the EOC questions.

You are better off not watching any videos for Ethics IMHO.

As all of them have said, read the CFAI text and Do as many problems as you can. Cover the scenarios and rethink that scenario during free time. You would score 70+ for sure if you do that (atleast in level 1)!

agreed with sooraj. You’re going to be tested on it in multiple choice format -> might as well practice in multiple choice (mock exams) vs. trying to learn it all via video

Ethics videos of schweser are not good at all Nickki. You are better off without them!!

Sooraj and other people have given u a good advice. Practice is the key to master ethics. The more u practice the more it becomes a second-nature. If you ever run out of questions then you can always sign up at the link below for free and get more ethics questions for practice.

Shit i have finished ethics already. It was the first study session so i was like, “what the heck, why not finished it first”. I just did the examples though and have left the end of chap questions for my second read.

Ethics is not that difficult per se but surely it is very dry, specially the readings on GIPS. I’m sure i’m going to forget it all in next four five months and it will really be a pain for me to read it again from the curriculum. Therefore, i was wondering maybe schweser videos the next time around would suffice. C’mon how bad they can be? LOL
