Did anyone of you attempt the Schweser Live Mock Exam? Please post your scores!
Me. Found it interesting. AM: 65% PM: 73%
Yeah I also scored around the same levels both the sessions. What do you think? is this good enough?
Yeah me too: 67% AM 70% PM ETHICS CRUSHED ME - 3/12 right. my god. This was much better than the BSAS live mock 2 weeks ago. But I have yet to check my answers and find errata, so I shouldn’t judge yet. A good kick in the butt for sure.
Ethics = miserable I only got 1 right on the morning session and even on that one I had the wrong rationale. Made a ton of stupid mistakes.
Also, I found a lot of the Schweser questions to be difficult to understand. I know the CFAI attempts to trick you, but I had to read numerous questions multiple times in order to figure out what they wanted.
75 am, 83 pm I felt extremely unsuer about a ton of stuff, i guess i was right on some of it. And yea the ethics was damn hard i failed that too
I found it be a bit more difficult than average on the non-equity and FSA sections (Ethics was very difficult, missed 7/12). Good practice.
Put my scores into the website and average for the morning is 57% and for the afternoon, average score is 61%. Both have 500+ exams entered.
AM – 62, PM --67 As others Ethics was very difficult.
I got only 2 right in the morning ethics section. The average score is pretty bad. I have a mixed feeling about this exam. Dont know what to feel. Anyways I am going to do the CFA Mock now and then see the difference in scores. True that a lot of questions were very difficult and unclear to understand in this one.
just marked mine, got 60% AM 67% in the PM. im not impressed, although im not too pleased with the way some questions were worded…and i bombed ethics pretty bad…
Anyone know how to print all the answers + explanations from the schweser website?
The ethics was awful. 4/12 … bit worried.
I saw some of the scores posted and was surprised that people did better in the afternoon. I found the afternoon to be harder. I have taken a few practice tests now and am taking L2 for the second time and that was harder than anything I have seen. And yes the Ethics was just total trash. I think they are trying to sell their tutorial for a $100.
Was the ethics section even legitimately reasonable? given the amount of complaints I’ve seen posted… is it even a realistic set of ethics questions?
No its not. Im reviewing it now, and its bogus. I wrote them an email explaining my reposnes and why i disagree with theirs. Well See. Im now also real confused as to why they used the 11% WACC in question 27 (which was a project specific WACC for a different project) for their NPV calculations of a completely different project. Makes NO SENSE.
The morning one on soft dollars and ROS was reasonable, some of that is just counter-intuitive, and you have to think of both separately from the main code and standards. The afternoon was less reasonable.
Has anyone been able to download the explanations for the answers? If so how did you get it? I went to Schwesermock.com and nothing there…
I also agree with Spanish. I would post all my discrepancies with their answers but would rather spend the time studying. But I would second throwing out ethics. Just look at the mock CFAI posted, I only got one ethics question wrong, now I only get 3 right? I am going to go with CFAI.
