Schweser live mock

thanks for the feedback - always happy to get insight from a re-taker.

I just realized that this mock is exactly the same one they gave last year - and i missed a lot of the exact same questions!!!

OMG that pisses me off.

Using NOI at T=0, vs NOI at T=1? So did I. I was kicking myself as I made several mistakes on other areas as well. Let’s make all the mistakes now and save perfection for June 1st.

I am told that the actual exam DOES NOT ask for the differences in required vs recommended. Can any re-takers attest to this?

i cant remember exactly. i do know I scored above 70% in ethics last year, and I usually breeze through ethics on the practice exams. I don’t recall ethics being anywhere close to that difficult or confusing on the actual exam.

yes!! Anyway… we still have enough time to improve on those areas and learn to focus on this “tiny” details.

60% and 68%. Missed half of Ethics, did good on FRA, Equity, Fixed, Corp. Bad on Quant, Portfolio, Derivatives. That’s very consistent with all my other mocks and Q Banks. Getting back to work… Good luck everyone!

Got 68.5AM/71.5PM, 70 Overall

I got KILLED by Ethics. It seems to be the only subject I cannot get a handle on, and it is starting to worry me. Glad at least to see from opinions above that the Ethics section was very difficult on this one.

Bumping this thread, as I just got absolutely crushed by the live/online Schweser mock. 35/60 in the morning, 34/60 in the afternoon for a grand total of of 69/120 or 57.5%. For reference, I got 85/120 on the CFAI mock.

This was much harder than the CFAI mock, IMO, and I don’t say that just because I did poorly. The questions were quite nitpicky and in many cases weren’t phrased well, which compounded the difficulty. After seeing the average (which didn’t even include scores under 36%) and reading the scores posted here, I’m not that discouraged. As someone else mentioned, I think this was designed as a “worst case scenario”. Treating the CFAI mock as the easiest possible test (it wasn’t) and the Schweser online mock as the hardest possible test (can’t imagine anything worse), I average a 64.17%–that’s passing or close to it. I’m going to take a Schweser book mock tomorrow. If I bomb that, too, then I’ll sound the alarms. For now, I’m going to treat this an an abberation.
