Schweser Notes VS CFAI books

Hi guys, yesterday I found out I passed Level I in December and I’m willing to sit for Level II in June. Sorry if this topic has been answered already, couldn’t find it anywhere in the forum… I’ve heard few colleauges of mine (and some others) on this forum saying that studying of the Schweser notes is not enough and only the CFAI books give you the preparation to pass it. Is that true? Thanks!

For most yes.

I’d certainly use CFAI for Ethics.

My observation: A lot of folks will affirm that Schweser-only is the way to go for most SS’s. Reading the full curriculum is way too time consuming. But do you really want to take a chance on having to repeat in 2012? Not me. I passed L1 a year earlier, so I could start early. You don’t have as much time, so you may have to short cut a bit. Just do it carefully.

Thanks guys. As I’m working full time, I really won’t have time to go thru the CFAI books…I guess I’ll have to stick to the Schewser and hope for the best…

schweser notes to get broad idea of study sessions+ CFA EOC questions and summary to drill down those finer details
