Oh man, I’m fairly certain they make their mocks progressively harder. I’ve done volume 1 and the first exam in volume 2 now in order and (AM/PM combined) have scored 77, 69, 68, 77. Definately see a trend there. I was getting pretty bummed out by 2&3, so the easier vol.2 mock 1 was a pleasent boost to my ego. Probably write the CFAI tomorrow and see how that one compares though… The biggest problem is they each tend to focus on certain areas, meaning if you don’t understand something like interest rate puts, you’ll probably fail most of derivatives (or whatever section that was in…lol)
Also, there’s a few questions in Schweser that borderline make me resent the company. Ie. Vol. 2 Exam 1 PM, #16 - Does GIPS compliance require performance history for a:
(A) minimum 5 years or since firm’s inception, and a firm must add annual performance results each year going forward for a minimum of five additional years of performance history.
or, (B) minimum five years or since firm’s inception, and the firm must add annual performance results each year going forward up to a minimum total of ten years of performance history.
Seriously, questions like that aren’t testing our understanding at all
For the question, lol word bro. Somehow I’m perceiving that they are picking on tiny details and scraps, rather then testing the unterstanding to certain topics as a whole.
