Schweser Study Notes 2013 for June 2015 Lv 1 ?

Hey guys I am planning to sit for CFA level 1 exams next June (2015), yesterday a friend of mine gave me CFA Level I, II, III Schweser Study Notes 2013 and videos which also includes Mock Tests ,Practice Exams ,Qbank etc will it be sufficient ? Actually I don’t know much about CFA but looking at the course, syllabus, questions I find it easy compared to Indian standards (I may be wrong).

About me:- I am a qualified Cost & Management Accountant (CMA) from ICAI (The Institute of Cost Accountants of India), year of passing Dec 2013 currently undergoing Management training (Finance) in 1 of the biggest PSU’s , after 9-12months of training I will be posted as Assistant Finance Manager . I’m also pursuing CS (Company Secretary) from ICSI will give Finals this December (2014) and start preparing for CFA level 1 from January 2015.

“The CFA Institute recommends that students wanting to take the exam spend at least 300 hours preparing for each level”, CMA final exams have 2 papers out of 8 papers which are dedicated to Finance

  1. Advanced Financial Management.( it toke me around 350 hours to fully cover this paper which includes 40x3hrs video classes + 150hrs of self-study + 70-80hrs for revisions)

  2. Financial Analysis & Business Valuation.(it toke around 300 hours 30x3 hours of classes + 150 hours self-study + 50-60 hours for revisions )

So guys do u think 1 can complete CFA spending 300-400 hours of quality time for each level? And will my Finance knowledge which I gained from CMA final help me in CFA?

yes you can and its more than enough but concentrate on all parts of study session here. There are some parts which is never covered in CMA or CS … Im a CMA too but its entirely different way to study. Cover all the curriculum first.
