Hi, I can obtain the 2009 Schweser videos from a friend. Do you think it’s worth it to purchase the 2011 videos? Do you think they would have changed? Thanks a lot
@thparadox dude … there r huge differences in GIPS in 2011 … for which i fee| the vids r quite he|pfu| … there are changes in a coup|e of other readings … my comparisons are just vs 2010 … So there wd probab|y be a few more differences as against 2009.
I’d say go ahead and use the 2009 videos if you can get them for free. The L3 curriculum changed by about 10% between 2009 and 2010, and less than 5% between 2010 and 2011. So most of the content in the 2009 videos will still apply for 2011.
GIPS and ETHICS are the two major areas of change between 2010 and 2011. I would stay away from 2009 videos because of all the tax stuff which came in 2010 and then add all the changes form 2010 to 2011. 2009 Not worth it. IMHO. As far as the quality of the Sch videos are concerned there is another thread here somewhere. Looks like due to additional presenters, 2011 is better than 2010.
Thanks, really appreciate the feedback. I’m now getting the 2010 videos from a friend. The GIPS comment in particular is useful. I won’t use the video for that part I suppose.
