Has anyone here had any luck getting the Schweser video sessions (the videos w/ the concurrent powerpoint presentations, etc) working in any browser other than Internet Explorer?
nope… they work best only on Internet Explorer or the AOL Explorer ( which is a cloned IE)
Yes, I’ve got a session with Brent Levkin running in Firefox right now. But I prefer IE, less “fine-tuning” (in terms of accepting pop-ups etc).
Which version of Firefox are you using? Did you have to do anything special? I can’t get it to work in FF at all. I’m trying to load it up in a better browser because I watch it on the TV while doing cardio and I’d like to zoom in on everything to make the important parts take up the entire screen.
I had to specifically accept avacaster and the web site, otherwise I’ve got some ad blockers and flash blockers that would interfere. I’m using Firefox 3.0.5. though normally I’d prefer to watch the seminars in Internet Explorer, I just tried it out in Firefox to be able to answer your question.
i think the videos should work on a dvd player and the different topics should just be like the different chapters in a movie.

First I get a message about installing IE/WMP, I close the alert box, and this is what the page looks like on FF 3.0.5 (I don’t have any pop-up blockers enabled) http://i43.tinypic.com/fx8aoy.gif

i know they’re not dvds. i just think that dvds would be a good product offering. i have no idea what the price implications would be though.
