Hello, Has anyone used the Schweser Videos to help with studying? I am thinking of buying them used from someone to help with review. Please let me know your opinions. Thanks
hi i am taking level 2 in a month and used the videos for level 1 in december. while i ccant say they were not useful at all, they took a long time and the marginal benefit from them was very small. add to that the fact that u have one month to go i would not recommend getting them. now is the time to pound as many questinos as u can. good luck.
I have watched a few of the videos…Well…it is just a person reading the text…thats it…I was expecting to see more of an explanation but there is none…it is just an individual reciting… but the audios are good , in the sense, that I can listen to them when I am travelling…other than that - no use…
Unless you’re really an audio person (materials sink in better using audio) - the benefit of having the DVD is really small. It’s really long, boring, and like the previous poster said - just someone reading a text.
okay. thanks everyone for your response. i think i will skip on them.
Hey i recently saw a really good sample lecture video… You might wana check it out… http://www.elanguides.com/samples.php. These people are new but i like their stuff…

there are also various videos and lectures on youtube that may be helpful. search the topic +CFA.
I used some of the videos from allenresources on youtube, they were somewhat helpful. As many people have already said the marginal benefits vs questions, cue cards and notes is small.
I would say the one thing that got be the understanding of the topics are the schweser videos. I have 0 background in anything finance and accounting and a first pass of the videos made me very comfortable reviewing the material. I agree that the marginal benefit is small…reading/questions are key. But if you are like me…used to learning more in a instructor kind enviroment than self study and and have 0 background , the videos are priceless… Audio is ok , I really like it for the ethics section while driving…my mind kida wanders when I am listening to something anyways.
