Secondary Market is the open market correct? where everyone buys and sells stocks on exchanges right?

So for fixed income, secondary market seems like the place you want to buy/sell from other buyers and sellers right, a place for you to customize your portfolio pretty much.

The big limitation seems to be not being able to find what you want either because of supply or the cost you are willing to pay vs what the seller wants?

is that pretty much what the secondary market is?

Yes.

Without primary markets there would be no secondary markets (obviously), and without secondary markets there would be next-to-no primary markets (because few people would ever invest if they knew that there was no way ever to sell their investment).
