yes. why the hell didn’t jay get jail time

Spoiler Alert!!(Maybe)

Plea deal. Didn’t make any sense. The case against him was way too scanty IMO. Jay’s house wasn’t even searched or anything. I don’t know how he wasn’t ever deemed a prime suspect per se. Jay is definitely limiting his involvement especially given his overall shadyness.

The Jay thing makes very little sense.

Spoiler:

I think it will be very interesting to see how Jay is involved if it turns out to be that random serial killer that was released from prison.

If you’ve listened to the podcast, this is pretty funny (do you know what I mean?):

do you think the third party serial killer is likely? I had thoughts in the back of my mind the entire series that the motive just wasn’t there and there had to have been a third party.

Jay’s involvement in the case makes it hard to believe that a third party did it- unless he is still somehow involved. although it is hard to believe anything jay said as his friends all admitted he was a serial liar

Brain_Wash: That video is pretty funny.

^Jay’s definitely limiting his involvement. The initial Adnan suspicion the cops get is from an anonymous phone call. Who made this call? Some random third party? I doubt that. I’m pretty sure Jay was involved with that.

Spoilers:

It also seems on many occasions that Jay is volunteering information like when he told his buddy at the porn store. Everyone who comes to Jay’s defense base it on hearsay from Jay with the exception of Jen who actually saw him. A lot of people say Adnan may have flipped or something to that effect but how about Jay. According to Jay, he picked up Adnan, Adnan shows him the body. he freaks out and then they go to Jen’s house and chill, smoke weed and then they drive around some more before burying the body. That’s not switching to the effect of killing someone but thats pretty effing weird behavioral switches.

As for Adnan, his lack of knowledge story isn’t helping anything. In fairness to him, I challenge you guys to look at your high school selves and try recall how you would have handled recollection of your days sometimes back. Heck, try recall specifics from 6 weeks back from today without using your phone or calendar. It’s pretty hard. The Asia McClain library alibi could have been helpful but that just went away and I don’t know why she wouldnt come forward earlier.

Overall, I just didn’t think the prosecution had enough to put him away and the police massaged Jay’s story in those intervals where the tape recorder wasn’t on. His quick and clear responses sounded somewhat rehearsed and reminded me of law and order.
