Series 7 Exam Forum

I am looking for a good Series 7 Exam Forum. I did some research and nothing seemed up to par with AF. Is there one you would recommend?

The Series 7 does not warrant a forum to discuss strategies, tough questions, topics, etc. It is a very easy exam (at least compared to CFA material) that can be passed in two weeks if you are diligent. Read the material, do some practice tests and you will pass. There is nothing really challenging about this exam.

+infinity

This is all you need to do for any Series Exam, I took 5 of em, they are about as easy to game as it gets: Get the practice questions…do them…the test is basically the same with different #s… S7 is a joke…it should be much harder to become a registered rep.

Thanks for the input. I have the STC Series 7 Book and DVDs from 2007. Has the material changed since then. The handbook on the FINRA website is still copyright 1995 so I wouldn’t assume it has changed.

Someone I know at a retail brokerage firm did a class followed by a big practice exam. If you did well on the exam, they signed you up for another multi-day class and then if you did ok there you’d take the exam.

Please don’t start a Series 7 forum!!

haha. please start one, the posts in there would be priceless.

I could just see it User - PizzaMan2Series7 I did a 3 week stint at AMP after college (forgive me, I did not know better). Let’s just say employment history was very diverse…

The dumbest member of AF could pass this exam with a week of studying. I passed it during college with a month of studying.

We got something similar in Canada called CSC (Canadian Securities Course) It is also a complete joke from what I hear. CFA is a whole different ball game.

Series 7 is NOT hard. If you can pass level 1 CFA you do NOT have to study for Series 7!

ditchdigger2CFA, When did you take the 7? You used the STC 2007 version books?

its the 66 that you gotta watch out for. that one is easy to try to slide by on and fail

BrianR Glad I caught you. I am at my wits end with these fvcking Nigerian scammers. I am selling an item on craigslist, and all I get are replies, “I’ll paypal/western union the money if you send the item today.” Greedy ba$tards! Any update on your scammer looking to deposit his endowment?

DD2CFA…when I sell something on CL…I ask for replies to include the item description and where they live, in the response…won’t totally weed out scammers, but at least cuts out some of the more creative ones looking to do harm…
