Several Ethical Standards Cover Same Topic

Thing that drives me nuts about Ethics is that they have several standards cover the same issue. For example, Fair Dealing and Priority of Transactions. If an analyst at a firm buys a stock where he may be perceived as “front running”, he violates both principles. It just drives me crazy the amount of overlap. Same thing with knowing releasing information that is incorrect on performance. It’s a violation of “Knowledge of the Law” as well as “Misrepresentation” not to mention one can even include “Misconduct” in there as well since he’s being deceitful.
