I only the reruns on CNBC, so I never really know what season I’m watching. I did watch an episode last night though where Cuban offered $300,000 for 60% of some kid’s flavored honey company and wanted Robert to go in on it. Robert insisted on bumping the equity to 75% and the kid said yes (just read the deal fell through later).

I can confirm the same thing - it’s absolutely a TV personality that you see on Shark Tank/Dragon’s Den. He said they do it more for the exposure than anything, they don’t typically make money on these deals.

I think he told me he makes money on <6% of the deals that you see made on the show. Some of this are the companies who don’t make it through due diligence too.
