Does anybody know who must report short interest? Should I take the number of shares shorted or % short interest at face value or should I assume there there are actually more shares shorted? Any comments on links you can provide are greatly appreciated.
hmm, good question. I have found short squeeze.com to be the most reliable. but I am not sure this answers your question.
short data is about two weeks old at best, but I am not aware that certain groups are shielded from reporting. I think it’s more about which exchanges provide more accurate data.
