So a couple friends of mine are putting money together to get start a business. If I am juss throwing down dinero and joining an LLC, would I have to tell my boss? It doesnt conflict since its nothing about giving investment ideas. It wont take away my time, since I plan to continue to work. My dad would be working in my stead. Anyways, thoughts on this? thanks
If it doesn’t compete with your employer, and doesn’t affect your duty to same or your clients, then there’s no need to report it to your employer . . . according to the Standards.
Your employer may feel otherwise, however.
