Single Predictor Defense?

can someone dumb it down for me?

Single Predictor Defense - Just because one of my estimates was wrong doesn’t mean they all are.

Should not be judged on one wrong estimate

read the header and though you wrote “single proctor defense”… that’d be a much more interesting topic…

What section talks about all these defenses? I keep hearing about “other things equal,” and “if only,” and now “single predictor.” I feel like these defenses are all football plays that I don’t remember. What section of CFAI talks about this?

behavioral finance, reading 12

They are all called Ego Defense Mechanisms

I wonder which one am I going to be using after this exam? heh heh

single predictor = if only?
