Sleep more important than food

I have read numerous times here that it’s always an option to just sleep an hour less, get up an hour earlier to study etc. I always wondered how effective that strategy really is. Here’s a blog post from a Harvard Business Review blogger to make you think about the importance of adequate sleep: http://blogs.hbr.org/schwartz/2011/03/sleep-is-more-important-than-f.html

I seem to wake up once a week around 4am so always get out of bed then

Not to mention the toll it takes on your immunity… i have been cutting sleep for the past 2-3 months and last week after 7-8 years (at least), I got a terrible cold… the whole week was almost a waste… otherwise people around me would be coughing n sneezing and even if I shared their drinks/food i wouldn’t catch it… now i am back on 8 hrs… of course exam prep is suffering but will try to make up over the weekend…
