Considering he has by far the cleanest of all AF diaries, I think it’d be alright. I’d buy a book that contained bchad’s 16k posts in chronological order. It’d probably be better than most finance texts.
Ohai has a very good point regarding the personal notes and their disclosure. The problem with Anti-depression type of stuff is they may require very large capital (if something meaningful is to be done and not printing flyers about depression) or time.Also as ACE has pointed out the area seems too general and we need expert opinion on what part of the depression/suicide problem we are going to focus on. I’m not going to disclose this online but If anyone is opposing the CFA scholarship thing,I could point out to some stuff that could change their mind.
The Scholarship however could be named Bchad and does not have to include his name.This is also true to his AF username.
He did talk about GFs and other personal matters. I don’t think any of it was material that could generate clickbait stories, but there may be some stuff there he was a little too honest with.
I suppose he did get into his personal life a bit. So who’s job is it to skim through 16k posts?
The WC 5 years from now will be different than it is today. Many will move on and others (who have no clue who bchad is) will come aboard. Having a yoy program will not be sustainable without having a section here honoring and remembering his dedication.
I’ve been advocating a Hall of Fame for years. It’s only natural to enshrine the most talented posters. It’s unnatural to fight the idea.

To expand on this thought, bchad did specifically change his AF handle in an effort to regain some of his anonymity and someone whose name escapes me right now was banned for posting bchad’s real name.
I agree, I made this same point to Chad in an email. We as a forum need to try to respect the boundaries of our relationship with Bchad by not spilling over the divide to real life relationships in the process if possible. He was in some ways a private guy and we need to extend the boundaries that existed before his death into the period of time that follows.
Also, as far as funeral arrangements go since I’ve been asked for several for updates, the funeral is this week but has been marked as family and close friends only with details not publicly disclosed. There will be a larger memorial in about a month.

we might have our own virtual memorial here where people share their favorite memories and/or posts. we can light candles at a certain time across the globe as well. there will also be a memorial by the organizers of the gofundme for bruce.

Don’t worry about the goal, they’ve increased it steadily from the $2000 initial goal which was hit in an hour. They’ve stated that they’ll continually raise the goal as it’s met with the additional precedes going to a charity that they feel he would have supported in his name. Just clarifying.
What about locking the Water Cooler each year for 1 hour on 12/29 as a “moment of silence”?
