Stalla practice tests

How are people finding these tests? I keep getting high 60s and wanted to see how others think of them. They are pretty tough and heavily focused on formulas, in my opinion.

I am in the same boat, keep getting 65-67 range… There are some questions when taking the test I should know that I could get right by memorizing a tough formula but for the most part my score has been pretty consistent.

Same here. Getting high 60s - low 70s consistently. I feel like they are not representative of the CFA mock or CFA end of reading questions.

really? I found them way easier as compared to sample/mocks of CFA. I tried one and got in 60s too. Sample exam crushed me to 40s 50s

That’s what I’m saying. The Stalla exams are much easier. I got 63 on the CFA Mock AM. Taking PM this weekend. Hell of a way to spend Memorial Day weekend!

I did one full Stalla mock, and got 61% and 56%. Just finished the CFAI morning session and got 70%. The CFAI mock was quite different… Stalla does seem to focus more on formulas and such. The format is different, but you still learn the concepts. And I don’t think they’re easier. I did a bunch of Stalla mocks for level 1 and I thought their questions were way harder than the actual exam. I think if you get in the 60’s on the stalla mocks you should be in pretty good shape, unless the CFAI makes the exam super hard for some reason…

I completed all three stalla mock exams, averaged 65%, range 55-71%… Looking at what people post here, i should be happy if i score above 60% on CFAI mock.

by stalla exams you mean the ones from the practice exams book? I did the first exam today and got AM 73% and PM 80%… are we talking about the same exams? I think CFA mocks are way harder

I get about 70+% with about 1 hour of time to spare… I think the questions and concept are similar to the CFA mocks, but with a lot less reading.

my next question, and now I havent done the CFA mocks yet, but I fell like to get through an AM or PM section of the Stalla exams from the practice exam books, it only takes me about 90 minutes. anyone else feel like that? I am a little nervous at the shortness of time considering they give you three hours for each session.

Yep. I’m getting through the Stalla exams in under 2 hours. I feel they are close to worthless. I’m reviewing CFA EOC questions from now until D-Day.

yes i was done with stalla exam in 2 hrs too
