statement of corporate governance policies

is management self assessment included?

don’t quote me on it but management self back-patting doesn’t sound like an essential part of a sound corporate governance system edit: the board is supposed to assess its own effectiveness at least annually

I don’t think so. It’s the board’s responsibility to oversee and assess management’s performance. Management’s compensation is often based on their performance. Asking them to self evaluate is like giving them a blank cheque, don’t you think? XD

i just solved some CFAI EOC on this. the BOARD is responsible for THEIR OWN performance eval. i would not think the mgmt is allowed to self-eval.

Yes, the board does self evaluation. That’s why over compensated board members is a not a good sign under good corporate governance.

I just self-assessed my pay and I think it’s not high enough

i found it in the summary of reading 31 of cfa textbook. might be an err. TheAliMan Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I just self-assessed my pay and I think it’s not > high enough
