Stocks are mentioned throughout much of the reading. But, I was seeing if any of you knows of a section that goes into detail about stocks (types, pricing, advantages/disadvantages, etc.). It’s hard to understand some of the things they talk about when discussing stocks because it seems to presume that we know all about them.
There is no section on the basics of stocks, but if you read financial newspapers/magazines, then that knowledge should be enough. If you have any specific questions, post them and we will try to answer them.
There is definately some prerequisite knowledge assumed by the CFA curriculum. You might want to buy a basic investment text book (ie Bode, Kane, Marcus: Fundamentals of Investments).
