Strategic Asset Allocation - Portfolio weights or asset weights?

When we are asked to determine strategic asset allocation and given corner portfolios, do we need to work it out until we get asset classes weights? Or is it just enough to leave it at a portfolio-level weight? (like 50% corner portfolio C and 50% corner portfolio D)

Depends on the minutes they gave you, if it’s 5=

they will tell you what they want usually. (and the number of minutes they assign will depend on what they want).

so make sure to look for what they are asking.
